Stingray City Sandbar

Stingray City Sandbar or simply known as the “sandbar” to locals is one of the North Sound's most popular attractions. Fishermen in the past would stop here to clean their day's catch in the calm shallow waters of the protected sandbar attracting an abundance of Southern Stingrays. It didn’t take long for the rays to associate the sound of a boat engine with food and divers to realise they could feed them by hand. Stingrays are friendly, majestic animals jokingly referred to as "puppies of the sea". Our crew will educate you on how to safely interact with the Stingrays allowing you to hand feed the gentle creatures and the chance to steal a kiss for 7 years of good luck.
